Information for supporters, partners and due-diligence teams

How Ucentria is governed, how decisions are made, how funds are handled, and which documents you can obtain.

Ucentria is governed by an independent board of directors holding ultimate authority over the organization's affairs, property and funds. The board approves strategy, budgets and policies, oversees programs and grantmaking, and is responsible for legal and regulatory compliance.

Directors serve without compensation for board service. The organization has no members and no shareholders. Its bylaws prohibit loans to directors or officers, and no part of its earnings may benefit any private individual.

The board meets at least annually and as often as business requires, and records its decisions in minutes retained as part of the organization's permanent records.

Documents and public information

Federal law requires tax-exempt organizations to make their exemption application and annual returns available for public inspection. We meet that requirement and go beyond it where we can. Where a document does not yet exist, because of the organization's stage, we say so rather than implying otherwise.
